Ethics is a branch of [[Philosophy|philosophy]] concerned with morality. Normative ethics intends to understand how things should be, with the main strands being * [[Consequentialism]] * [[Deontology]] * [[Virtue|Virtue ethics]] Education and technology sits in a strange place, in being able to effect the moral development of children, as well as containing the values of the creators - putting it in a dangerous position of supporting the scalable replication of values (see [[(NOT TO PUBLISH) Meta/(TODO) The Dangers of Standardised Moral Education|the dangers of standardised moral education]]). We should consider ethics in multiple levels: - Micro level - individuals - Meso level - organisations - Macro level - social-legal norms
